Works (Weatherbee), April Rose – Age 57, Truro. April’s family is heartbroken to announce her passing on February 15, 2016, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by her loving family. Surviving are her husband, Frank, Jr.; granddaughter, Morgan, at home, who she raised as a daughter; stepdaughter, Courtney (James), Moncton; stepson, Jason (Crystal), Winnipeg; sisters, Pansy Baker, Finch, Ont.; Yvonne Weatherbee (Fred), Truro Heights; Brenda Reid (Carl), Valley; Karen Pratt (Johnny), Valley; Marena Weavers (Paul), Kemptville, Ont.; brothers, Clifford Murray, Ont.; Donnie Mollons (Marilyn), Whitney Pier; Freddie MacMillan (Cathy), Toronto; Larry Weatherbee, Port Coquitlam, B.C.; sisters-in-law, Cathie Benvie (Victor), Diana Fielding (Tony), both of Upper Brookside; Donna Hutchinson, B.C.; brothers-in-law, Hugh Hutchinson (Crystal), North River; Jamie Hutchinson, B.C.; father-in-law, Frank, Sr., Truro; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by mother, Sylvia M. (Tutty) Parker, father, Willis “Ryland” Weatherbee; stepfather, Rupert Parker; brothers, Hugh Weatherbee, in infancy; Douglas MacMillan; sister, Alice; brother-in-law, Earl Baker.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday in the Truro Horseman’s Club where April had been a member for 35 years. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
