Horne, Harry “Roger” – Age 66, of Dartmouth and formerly of Moose River Gold Mines, passed away November 6, 2016, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Harry and Marie (Kelly) Horne.
Roger was a welder most of his adult life and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed his time at Scraggy Lake. Roger enjoyed a good laugh and going for drives. He was a very selfless and generous person.
Surviving are brothers, Edward, Bob; sister, Debbie (Benny); nephews, Jeffrey, Jason, Kevin, Dwayne; nieces, Melissa (Cory), Railene (Jennifer). He was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Judy and Sandra.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. with funeral Thursday at 10 a.m., both in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Higginsville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
