Isenor, Donald Ross

Isenor, Donald Ross – Age 84, of Dutch Settlement and Enfield, passed away on December 5, 2014, in Harbour View Lodge Nursing Home, Sheet Harbour. Born in Dutch Settlement, he was a son of the late Serena (Isenor) Richard. Ross’ love of working the land made farming a pleasure. He worked on several farms in the Dutch Settlement area, had a cleaning job at the airport, and lastly delivered the rural mail. Playing cards and working at jigsaw puzzles were two things that Ross enjoyed.

Surviving are sisters, June Rogers, Madeline (Fenton) Isenor, Jean (Francis) Hill, numerous nieces and nephews; as well as good friend, Derek Parnell. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by grandparents, William and Essie Isenor; sister, Florine Wile; stepfather, Raymond Richard; a niece and a nephew.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Tuesday, at 2 p.m., in St. George’s Anglican Church, Dutch Settlement, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating, assisted by Rev. Patty McKenna. Burial will follow in St. George’s Cemetery. Donations in Ross’ memory may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church or Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia
