Minogue, Gordon Daniel

Minogue, Gordon Daniel – Born in Montreal, on February 13, 1929, died peacefully at home in Elmsdale, surrounded by his loving family, on June 25, 2015. He was the son of the late Assistant Director of the Montreal Police (1923-1963) William Minogue and the late Mabel (Corcoran). He is survived by wife of 45 years, Maxine (Ashley); mother-in-law, Jean Ashley, of Lantz; son, Danny (Elyce), of Westmount, Que.; daughters, Debra (Dr. Richard) Duke, of Denver, Colo.; Barbara (Michael) Galletti, of Montreal, Que.; Suzanne (Barry) Johnston, of Whistler, B.C.; Lisa (Keith) Watson, of Summerside, P.E.I.; Melissa Minogue (Andy Teal), of Dartmouth; and Beverly (Don) Isenor, of Dutch Settlement; grandchildren, Andrew (Kelley) Duke, Stephanie Lavinskas, Alan (Melissa) Lanigan, James Lavinskas, Emily (Ryan) Wilmot, Daniel Lavinskas, Marc Minogue, Sarah Minogue, Cole Isenor, Owen Isenor and Sophie Watson; great-granddaughters, Lilly Lanigan and Katherine Duke; sister, Emily Bentley, of Montreal; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Gordon was predeceased by father-in-law, Harvey Ashley; brother, William Minogue; sister-in-law, Maureen Minogue; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Bentley and Leonard Ashley; niece, Lianne Minogue; and nephew, Billy Minogue. He will be especially missed by his devoted “man’s best friend”, Molly.

Dad will take his final journey to Montreal, where he will be laid to rest at a graveside service entrusted to Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery, located on Mont Royal – 4601 Chemin de la Cote des Neiges.
