Born in Musquodoboit Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Harris Reginald Worthing and Elsie (Baker) (Worthing) Baker. Joan was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in her family and her home. She will always be remembered for her expertise in the kitchen, her homemade meals, baking and preserves.
