Thomas Edmond “Buddy” Orman

Orman, Thomas Edmond “Buddy” – Age 86 of Oyster Pond, and formerly of Chezzetcook, passed away March 3, 2017, in Ocean View Continuing Care, Eastern Passage. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William “Mickey” and Helen (Ryan) Orman.

Thomas had been employed for 38 years as a painter and charge hand at Halifax Dockyard. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and dogs.

Surviving are daughters, Shirley (Cecil) Boutilier, Lake Charlotte; Susan, Halifax; Darlene (Jim) Nickerson, Oyster Pond; sons, Tommy (Star), Little Tom, both of Halifax; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Winky. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Shirley Daniels; son, Darrell; grandson, Wayne; sisters, Margaret, Kathleen, Mary; brothers, William, Harold.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Dolby Hill, Head Jeddore, Rev. Andrew Mortimer officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a local SPCA.
