MacInnis, Stephen Matthew “Magoo” – Age 54 of Upper Musquodoboit, passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2018. Born in Kitchener, Ont., he was a son of the late Donald and Marie (Fraser) MacInnis.
Stephen had a kind heart, would lend a helping hand to anyone, could be counted on not to break a promise and made friends wherever he went. Stephen owned and operated Magoo’s Heavy Hauling for almost 20 years.
He was a loving husband, father and brother and will always be loved and missed by wife, Janette; son, Mitchell; daughter, Maggie; siblings, Mike, Peter (Brenda), Danny (Shelley), Timmy (Shelly), Andy, Susan, Ron, Joe (Kim), Nancy; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Francis and Phyllis; extended Harnish family in-laws. He was predeceased by sister, Sally (Fred) and sister, Carol in infancy; sister-in-law, Tanya.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Friday, October 12, from 6-8 p.m., and funeral service Saturday at 11 a.m., both in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, with student minister Calvin Burt officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to an education fund for Mitchell and Maggie or to St. James United Church would be appreciated.
