MacLeod (Dunn), Elizabeth Anne Flora – 1960-2018. Elizabeth Anne Flora MacLeod “Liz” of Reid Station Road, Meadowvale, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:44 a.m., in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, after a courageous fight. As she wished, she was surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her mother, Hazel, Truro; son, Peter, British Columbia; daughter, Anna, South Branch; brothers, Grant, Yarmouth; Greg, Moncton; sister, Esther (Vernon), Stewiacke; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Peter.
Liz was employed as a comptroller for the majority of her life, most recently at Leisure Days in Truro. She was always willing to open her door to any person or four-legged creature, with a meal and an ear to listen. She had many lifelong friends who span across the country. Her love toward her children, family members, nature and animals will be her legacy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 29 from 1-4 p.m. in Middle Stewiacke Recreation Centre (formerly Middle Stewiacke Elementary). A private family burial will take place in Middle Stewiacke Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local SPCA.
The family would like to thank the nurses, physicians, and staff of the Palliative Care Unit of CEHHC for their care and support of the family. A special thanks to Leisure Days for their ongoing support.
