Angus Victor Withrow

Withrow, Angus Victor – Age 82 of Truro, went home to meet the Lord on July 9, 2018 in Wynn Park Villa, Truro. Born in Shubenacadie, he was a son of the late Chalmers and Mary (Stewart) Withrow.

Angus owned a dairy farm for many years and later went on to construction work. He had a great passion for writing poetry, loved music, dancing and playing his harmonica. Angus had a great talent to make something out of nothing, growing the most beautiful vegetable gardens, and he stood tall in his Stetson and cowboy boots. In the quiet time you could find him reading his bible.

Angus is survived by his sisters, Anne Withrow, Sarnia, Ont.; Grace (Eric) Vokey, Georgetown, Ont.; foster brother, Donald Angus Gillis, Noel; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Alberta Adams, Helen Gillis; brother, George; nephew, Russell Withrow; niece, Sharon Gillis.

Join us for a graveside service on Wednesday, July 11, at 3 p.m. in Preeper Hill Cemetery, Shubenacadie, Pastor Morris Mills officiating.

A special thank you to Angus’ close friends, Pastor Morris Mills, Roy and Leona Nielsen, Heather MacLeod, Jean Barkhouse, and all his caregivers at Wynn Park Villa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
