Jonathan "Jonny" Bryce Gay

Gay, Jonathan “Jonny” Bryce –Age 15, of Eastville. It is with broken hearts that Jonny’s family announces his passing on July 13, 2021 in IWK Health Centre, Halifax, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in the IWK, he was a son of Bernard Gay (Michelle McCallum) and Laura Leslie (Nick Fraser).

Jonny was a special child who made a positive impact on everyone he met. He loved his family unconditionally. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do to help anyone. He was a kind, thoughtful, polite, caring young man. Jonny loved gaming, his dogs and swimming in the river. He was a brave, hard fighter who won his battle with cancer along with the help of the wonderful staff of the IWK – 6 Link Family. Special thanks to Lindsay and Troy for their support during the worst time of our lives.

Jonny will always be loved and missed by his parents and their partners; maternal grandparents, Garnet and Violet Leslie; paternal grandparents, Bernie and Sharon Gay; aunt, Pam and her family; uncle, David Leslie and his family.

He was predeceased by uncle, Dale Miller and cousin, Kyle Moore.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 24, from 2 – 4 p.m., in Royal Canadian Legion Valley Branch 147, Upper Musquodoboit.

Memorial donations may be made to IWK Health Foundation – 6 Link or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada – Atlantic Region.
