Power, Leo Patrick Bernard – Age 87 of Waverley, passed away in Halifax Infirmary, QEII on July 3, 2021.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Hanorah (McLellan) Power.
Leo was a plumber by trade and worked in the construction industry. He later did maintenance work for DND. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and the country life. He was the last surviving member of the immediate family.
Leo was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will always be missed by sons, Laurie, Michael (Roberta); daughter, Cathy (Bernie) Boudreau; grandchildren, Lee, Mark, Michael, Paul, Justin and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Mackenzie.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine (Smith); siblings, George, John, Mary, Nora, Jean, Marg, Laurie, Bernie.
Cremation has taken place.
A private burial will be held in Higginsville Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
