It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian, age 72 of Enfield, on August 14, 2025. Born in Grand Lake, he was a son of the late Harold “Glen” and Helen (McDowell) Palmer. In his younger years, Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing and trips to the Long Lake camp. In his later years, he enjoyed unnecessary trips to the grocery store, leisurely drives around the Horne Settlement loop, pickling, and baking treats to satisfy his sweet tooth. Brian could often be found having a laugh and a beer with the crew at the Enfield Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133, where he was a long-time member. Brian leaves behind his wife of almost 40 years, Lois (Frame); daughter, Jessica (Jeff Stone); son, Jacob (Meagan Srickland); siblings, Frances Palmer-Barlow, Wayne Palmer, Beverley Pearson, Billy Palmer; and a large extended family and many cherished friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in Enfield Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133, on August 25, from 1-4 p.m. The family is immensely thankful for the exceptional care and support Brian received from Colchester County and Municipality of East Hants Palliative Care team, VON nurses and homecare workers, family and friends, all of whom allowed Brian to spend his last few months at home.
