May, Edwin Raymond – age 69, of Eastern Passage, NS, passed away January 19, 2026 in Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by family.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Effie (Grandy) and Lawrence May.
Edwin was a lover of sports, particularly his Detroit Red Wings and Green Bay Packers, animals, walks on the boardwalk, and a good clearance sale. He had a passion for music, especially classic country, and never let an opportunity to step on stage and sing “Silver Wings” pass him by.
He is survived by his partner, Janet Noseworthy; sons, Russell May, Casey May (Jessica), Bobby May (Angela), Chad May (Patrick) and Jamie May (Kimberly); daughter, Dawn Asprey; sisters, Shelma Young (Dean) and Marcia Myles (Jerry) and brothers, Larry May and Ricky May. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Annabelle, Andersen, Rowan, Tilina and Makira.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date and details will be circulated by the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.
