Kathleen "Kay" Ruth Wagner

Wagner, Kathleen “Kay” Ruth Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, of Milford, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro at the age of 81. Born in in Newcastle, New Brunswick and raised in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Verna (Campbell) Tobin and stepfather, Sidney Veinot.

Kay’s family was one of her greatest joys and she is survived by her loving family – sons, Karl (Heather), Shubenacadie; Andrew “Andy” (Rhonda), Milford; grandsons, Logan Hamilton (Jany), Joshua Wagner (Jessica), Jacob O’Leary (and girlfriend, Tiffany); great-granddaughters, Sophie and Elyse Hamilton, and Isabelle Wagner; brother, Sidney (Gail) Veinot; sister, Dale (Wayne) Barry; stepsisters and stepbrother, Kathie MacDonald-Strang (late Merv); Trudie Tobin (Michael Naugler); and Dennis (Catherine) Tobin. She is also survived by her beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie (Dale) Ernst, Merle (Pat) O’Neill, Debbie (Llewelyn) Feener, Robert (Pam) Wagner, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Albert “Abby” in 2012; her beloved daughter, Karen Hamilton, in 2015; stepfather, Clifford Tobin; step-brother Larry (Iris) Tobin; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Lloyd (Charity) Wagner, Clarence “Hippy” (Bernice) Wagner, and Ralph Wagner; niece, Gwen Moores; nephews, Shannon, Christopher and Ryan Feener; and step-nephew, Mark MacDonald. 

Cremation has taken place. At Kay’s request, there will be no service. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
