Lattie, Adam Jackson – age 96, of Nine Mile River, passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on March 15, 2026.
Born in Five Mile River, he was a son of the late William and Alalia (Ettinger) Lattie.
Adam’s first impression was his smiling face and his willingness to help others. He enjoyed gardening, making a mean batch of fudge, watching game shows on television and camping. His early working career was with Dominion Metal and then with a number of paving companies.
He will always be sadly missed by son, Robin (Karen); daughter, Lisa Awalt; granddaughters, Alyssa Lattie (Brody Tompkins), Renaye Lattie (Kyle Nicholson), Kayla and Zoe Awalt; great-granddaughters, Madison Tompkins and Alaia Nicholson.
He was predeceased by his wife, Edna in November 2023. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been predeceased by brothers, Reg, Clarence, Alfred, Raymond, Keith, Ross; sisters, Edith, Ada; and son-in-law, Shane Awalt.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 2-4 p.m. in Nine Mile River Community Hall.
Burial will take place at a later date in Sand Hill Cemetery, Upper Nine Mile River.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
