Laffin, Dan Mosher – Age 73, of Stewiacke, passed away March 2, 2026 while at his home in Florida.
Born in Upper Stewiacke, he was a son of the late Frank and Jean (Johnstone) Laffin.
Dan will always be remembered for his quick wit and sarcasm, having an opinion on everything. For 38 years, he was owner operator of Laffin Trucking, building the business from one truck and increasing his fleet over the years. Dan enjoyed Romeo’s in Florida (Retired Old Men Eating Out), attending car races and antique car shows. He was very proud of his grandchildren.
He will always be loved and missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan (Miller); daughter, Peggy; son, Todd (Amy); grandchildren, Joel Hines (Renée), Devon (Vanessa), Keilidh and their mother, Darlene; sisters, Frances Ellis, Heather (Ed) Beaulieu; brothers, Colin and Ronald (Kathy) Laffin; brother-in-law, Walter Ross; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Bonnie Ross; brothers-in-law, Alex Ellis and Garnet Dickie.
Cremation has taken place.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service.
Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation, ALS Society or a charity of choice.
