Linda Winnifred (Pooley) McCulloch

McCulloch, Linda Winnifred (Pooley) – We are sad to announce the passing of Linda Winnifred (Pooley) McCulloch, of Shubenacadie.

Mom passed peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in Elk Court, Brookfield.

Thank you to those special caregivers and nurses who cared for Mom on Creamery Lane.

Mom was born in 1947 to Muriel (Woodworth) and George Pooley. She grew up on Vinegar Hill in Milford, where she had fond memories of a certain special tree, cows, and babysitting at the neighbors.

Mom went to Teachers College in Truro, after graduating from high school at Hants East Rural High in Milford. She was especially good in English with writing, spelling and grammar.

Mom and Dad were high school sweethearts and married in January of 1967 in Shubenacadie. Over the years, Mom enjoyed sewing, making dolls and bears and beautiful quilts. She had a good eye and good taste, which she used in the decoration of her home. Mom was a good cook and a good baker. She made wonderful desserts and the best cookies. She was thrilled when her grandchildren came along and could not believe that included a set of twins!

Mom is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Rollen McCulloch, Shubenacadie; daughter, Tahnee (Kevin) Dodsworth, Wittenburg; son, Lloyd McCulloch, Oxford Station, Ontario; and grandchildren, Arthur, Curtis and Emma (Jeremy) Dodsworth.

Mom, you will be missed. May you rest in peace. I love you.
