Taylor, Robert Corey – Age 88 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully, July 23, 2026 in Oakwood Terrace, Dartmouth.
Born in Upper Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Clifford and Jean (Stewart) Taylor.
Robert retired from Canada Post and started his own business called Fiddle Sticks repairing stringed instruments. He and Vivian started a band with friends called The Last Chance Band and played all over the province. He loved his family time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are sons, Corey (Karen); Kendall (Krista) and their children, Courtney (Cameron) and Sarah (Nick); Joe (Rhonda) and their children, Rachael (Alex) and Chelsey (Dan).
He was predeceased by his wife, Vivian (Dean) Taylor; brothers, Stewart (Kay), Keith (Joan), Malcolm (Jackie) and Dennis; sisters, Thelma (Victor), Frances (Glen) and Mildred.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
We would like to thank the staff at Oakwood Terrace for taking good care of him.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a time yet to be determined.
Burial will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
