Daley, Rosalie Jane – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Janie Daley, age 74, of Truro. She passed away peacefully in Palliative Care in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on her birthday July 31, 2026.
Born in Dean, she was a daughter of the late Dave and Catherine Watson.
She is survived by daughter, Amanda (Guy) Poirier, Shediac, NB; son, Robbie Volans (Wendy Dutcher), Falmouth, NS; granddaughter, Rachel Belliveau, Dieppe, NB; great-granddaughter, Madison Ricker and great-grandson, Liam Belliveau. She embraced Steve’s daughters, Sheila and Karen; grandchildren, Austin, Kianna and Jada; great-granddaughter, Addilynn; siblings, Faye Fraser, Judy Jardine, Donna Hawes, Debbie (Ken) Cox, Wayne (Bonnie) Watson, Charlie (Alaine) Watson; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her partner, Steve Mira; husband, Vernon Daley; brother, Robert; sisters, Joan Eastman and Bessie Stewart.
Janie was known for her humor, sarcasm, shopping at Temu, and spending time at the Legion with her many dear friends. Janie loved her family so much and enjoyed the many get togethers. And you would never know what she would surprise you with when you came to visit her.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
