Holman, Bruce Randall – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Randall Holman of Valley, on August 25, 2026, at the age of 74. Bruce was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, NS, and was a son of the late Mary (Pineo) and Clyde Holman.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Gail (MacLellan); sons, Devin and Shane (Krista); grandchildren, Mason and Lia; sister-in-law, Cindy (Sheldon) Deyarmond; brothers-in-law, David (Kenda) MacLellan, Gary (Therese) MacLellan; and several nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Besides his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie MacKay; brothers-in-law, Ian MacKay and Dean MacLellan.
He shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gail, building a life filled with love, family, hard work, and countless memories. Together, they raised their sons who were a great source of joy throughout his life. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Mason and Lia, and cherished every moment of watching them grow. He took great pride in cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments.
Bruce spent over 40 years in the plumbing industry, where his dedication to his work and the many wonderful people he met along the way brought him great fulfillment. Outside of work, some of his happiest times were spent enjoying summers at Mill Lake, creating cherished memories with family and embracing the simple pleasures of boating and time on the water.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit in Colchester East Hants Health Centre and the compassionate care that Bruce received through the VON.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce’s memory may be made to the VON, Diabetes Canada or Canadian Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27th from 6-8 p.m. and a celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 28th at 1:30 p.m., both in Community United Church, 250 Brunswick St., Truro.
