What is a funeral co-op?

At Arimathea Funeral Cooperative we offer full funeral services. We are set up under provincial co-op guidelines and operate under provincial funeral home regulations in consultation with our Board of Directors. Our Board is elected annually by our shareholders (members). We are proud to be the only cooperative of our kind in mainland Nova Scotia. 

Cooperative membership

Membership includes shareholder privileges and reduced funeral rates. To be a member of Arimathea there is a one-time $25/person cost. Membership is open to anyone over age 13. Member benefits include:

• $275 discount on your funeral service*

• Voting privileges at Annual General Meetings

Since Covid, our annual AGM is a mail-out meeting with responses coming back via email and phone calls. To be added to our mail-out list, please call 902-758-5034.
