MacPhee, David Norman – Age 65, Upper Rawdon. We are saddened to announce the passing of David MacPhee on July 1, 2015, at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Upper Rawdon, he was a son of the late Owen and Ellen (Weatherhead) MacPhee. David enjoyed any reason for a family gathering. He enjoyed taking drives and stopping for coffee along the way. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he will certainly be missed for his teasing by anyone who knew him.

He will always be loved and missed by his wife, the former Deborah Barr; son, Clinton (Jennifer); daughter, Jodi-Rae (Andrew); grandchildren, Nicholas, Kyle, Makayla, Jillian, Ashley; great-grandson, Austin. He is also survived by brothers, Gary (Pat), Marvin (Alfreda), Danny; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Laurie; nephew, Shane MacPhee; sisters-in-law, Joanne and Wendy. He always missed his best friend, his beloved golden retriever, Max.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside committal service will be held in Upper Rawdon United Church Cemetery on July 11 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. The family will meet friends for a reception in the Upper Rawdon Community Hall following the burial. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Upper Rawdon United Church.
