Dillman, Charles Stanford

Dillman, Charles Stanford – Age 79, Porters Lake, passed away July 10, 2015 at home. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, he was a son of the late Earl and Ellen (Bell) Dillman. Charlie loved life, had a great sense of humour, and always had a joke to tell. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, spending time at his camp, and having friends around. He will always be missed by his four-legged princess, Molly. A life-long truck driver, most of his career was with Imperial Oil. Surviving are his wife, the former Greta Geddes; son, Jody (Sheila); stepchildren, Gerald (Heather) Leslie, Angela (Murray) Giles, Christine (Bruce) Chisling; ten grandchildren. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by brothers, Douglas, Ervin, Murray; sisters, Lillis, Ione.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, 2 p.m., in Hillside Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Dr. Linda Yates officiating. Memorial donations may be made to The Lung Association Nova Scotia or a local chapter of Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
