Higgins, Carl Francis – Age 95 of Wittenburg, passed away July 31, 2018 in Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Lindsay Lake, he was a son of the late Clarence and Annie (Reid) Higgins.
Carl retired from a career of lumbering and road construction. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Surviving are daughters, Linda, Donna, Carla, Gloria, Sheila, Darlene; sons, Richard, Reginald, Timothy, John; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera (Smith); daughters, Dixie, Debbie; sons, Allison, Darrell; brothers, Lealand, Lyman, Duncan, Austin; half-brother, Chester; sisters, Nellie, Jennie, Ruby, Audrey in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Carl’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Wittenburg. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Special thanks to the staff of Braeside for the wonderful care Carl received while he was a resident there.
