Reuben Henry Cameron

Cameron, Reuben Henry – Age 85, passed away July 14, 2025 in Aberdeen Regional Hospital, New Glasgow. He was a son of the late Gordon and Edna Cameron.

Reuben worked at Halifax Shipyard as a shipfitter and Quality Control Inspector most of his life until retirement in 2002. He then moved to Meadowvale, Upper Stewiacke. At the time of his passing, he was a resident of Elk Court, Brookfield, who we wish to thank for their excellent care of Reuben.

Reuben loved country and bluegrass music. He sang and played guitar, fiddle and mandolin. He liked to attend music festivals in the province. He also liked hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Helen (Kincaid); sons, Brian, Glen (Roseann); grandchildren, Mitchell (Cassadie), Brandon (Becca), Christian; great-grandchildren, Atleigh and Sawyer; and brother, Donald (Lillian) Cameron.

He was predeceased by his sister, Vera Dillman; brothers, Gerald Cameron and Reg Hutchings.

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 26 at 1 p.m. in Springside Community Centre with Rev. Marty Clark-Ettinger officiating. A family committal will be in Eastville Cemetery. A reception to follow in Springside Community Centre Hall.
