Currie, David Colson – Age 77, of Stewiacke, passed away on July 18, 2025 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Stewiacke, he was a son of the late Edward and Edna (Mingo) Currie.
Colson was a diligent worker who found himself in sawmills, truss mills and also working with Department of Transportation and Department of Fisheries.
He loved spending time with his family, whether it be an outing in the van or just quietly enjoying their company. He especially looked forward to spending time with his nephew, Dave. Colson was generous to a fault, and would help anyone. He easily made friends after moving in to Senior’s Housing.
He will always be remembered by sister, Lona Lewis; nephews, Dave (Juanita) Spinney and Robert Lewis; niece, Angie Lewis; several great-nephews and a great-niece.
He was predeceased by sister, Elizabeth Spinney; two brothers in infancy; and nephew, Doug Spinney.
Cremation has taken place.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service.
Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
