Langille, Michael “Mike” Kent Sr - age 74 of Jeddore / Upper Stewiacke passed away on July 26, 2025.
Mike worked at Halifax Shipyards and for the last 19 years of his career with Department of Natural Resources at Dollar Lake Provincial Park.
Mike loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mike enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren the tricks to hunting and fishing and to learn all about cars and how to fix them. Mike was always willing to help out with a broken down car or a malfunctioning fishing reel.
Mike will always be remembered by his loving wife of 53 years, Karen (Babineau) and his sons, Mike Jr. (Janet) and Merlin (Maria); grandchildren, Devon (Shannon), Natalie, Terri-Lee, Benjamin (Allison), Alexander (Tanis), Nicholas (Kate), and Tilly; great-grandchildren, Lenny, Scarlett, Rio and Oliver. Mike is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and his loving sister, Bonnie (Buddy) MacLean. He was predeceased by grandsons, Jacob and Zachary.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 9, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. in Chezzetcook Fire Hall, Head Chezzetcook. There will be a family graveside service following the Celebration of Life in St. Anselm’s Cemetery, West Chezzetcook.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
