Michael "Mike" Alexander Isnor

Isnor, Michael “Mike” Alexander– We are saddened to announce the passing of Michael “Mike” Alexander Isnor of Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. He passed away suddenly and peacefully at home on February 4, 2026.

Mike was predeceased by his beloved wife, Micheline Evelyn (Lajoie) Isnor (1940–2018), to whom he remained deeply devoted throughout his life. He was also predeceased by his brother, David Isenor and sister, Eileen Maguire.

He is survived by his sister, Muriel Fowler; his stepchildren, Lynn Ethier (Daniel), Lise Hogue (Scott Hendry), and Bob Hogue (Christine); his grandchildren, Sharlene, Tracey and Cory Hogue, and Dylan and Brandon Toombs; as well as great-grandchildren.

Mike proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces and later pursued a second career with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), from which he retired. He was a quiet, caring, and respected man who valued loyalty, friendship, independence, and family.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.

There will be no memorial service at his request.

A joint interment for Mike and his wife, Micheline will take place in the spring in Gays River United Church Cemetery, where they will be laid to rest together.
