William Charles Robert Joyce

Joyce, William Charles Robert – William Charles Robert Joyce, affectionately known as Chuck, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Chuck lived a full and meaningful life marked by kindness, curiosity, faith, and an unwavering love for family and friends.

Chuck began his career conducting underground pipe inspections for Ontario Underwater Tele. This work led to an opportunity to relocate to Nova Scotia and help start a new business with Command Records Center. From there, he transitioned into medical sales, where he owned his own business and later worked with several medical imaging companies throughout Nova Scotia. Even after retirement, Chuck’s desire to remain active and continue helping others led him to work with the Commissionaires at Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro - a role he genuinely enjoyed.

Chuck had a mischievous smile and a quick sense of humor that instantly put people at ease. Helping others came naturally to him, and once you met Chuck, you had a friend for life.

Chuck was able to explore and grow his faith at Heritage Baptist Church, where the congregation became not just friends, but family. Their love, prayers, and steadfast support meant more to Chuck than words could express and provided tremendous comfort to both him and his wife throughout his illness.

He loved the outdoors—hunting, fishing, golfing with friends, gardening, and spending time in nature. He was an avid gardener and took great pride in his yard. Chuck also loved to tinker in his man cave, and if someone ever needed a tool or gadget, Chuck undoubtedly had it. His love for animals was evident throughout his life, as he shared his home with many beloved dogs, cats, and even miniature horses.

Travel was another passion Chuck shared with his wife Linda, and some of their fondest memories were made during the years they spent wintering in Florida together.

Chuck is survived by his devoted wife and the love of his life for 57 years, Linda Joyce; his son, Curtis Joyce (Donna); and his daughter, Tracy Collins (Stephen). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Cody Joyce, Taylor Ryan (Chris), Nick Collins, Rylee Collins, and Josh Collins; and a cherished great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, William Stanley Joyce; his mother, Mary Margaret (McComb) Joyce; and his sister, Nancy Joyce.

Funeral services will be held on February 12, 2026, in Heritage Baptist Church, Milford. Visitation will take place from 1:00–2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 2:00–3:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, especially Charlene, Mary Jane, Rebecca, and Melissa, for their compassion, kindness, and tender care shown to Chuck during his transition from this life.

Donations in Chuck’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society.
