Burnell, Paul Harley – We the family of Paul Harley Burnell are sad to share the news of his passing on February 2, 2026.
Paul entered into everlasting peace at home with his wife, Edwina by his side.
Left to mourn are his daughter, Dayna; and grandson, Casey of Edmonton Alberta; as well as extended family, Mandy, Zahf and Zylar of Vancouver BC; Tanya and Phillip of Timberlea; and Shantelle and Alex of West Bedford.
Paul was never comfortable in being “the centre of attention “, he expected nothing and was content to be kicked back in his Lazy-Boy recliner, unless we were on an adventure to PEI, NFLD or touring our great province of Nova Scotia.
It was always ironic that he and I would be thinking or saying the exact same thing; at the same time. I guess we truly were connected.
May he rest in peace. God knows he needed a good rest; on December 24, 2025, he called to say that he had suffered both a heart attack and a stroke, and was full of cancer.
He is and will be forever missed.
