Burns, Jessie LaVerne – Age 73, of Enfield, passed away on June 27,2026 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
A beautiful and kind soul has left this world, and now is in the loving embrace of our lord and savor Jesus Christ. May he take her to his kingdom on high, where the pain and hurt of this world, cannot enter and she will rest for eternity.
LaVerne was a community member, who worked at a local convenience store for 20 plus years, where she made many friends. She enjoyed doing crosswords, loved flowers and her birds, in particular cardinals. Her favourite music was by Norman Greenbaum called “Spirit in the Sky”.
LaVerne is survived by her husband Jack; daughter Katrina (Jason) Cole; special grandchildren, Austyn Burns, Gavin and Autumn Cole.
She is predeceased by son, Joshua; father, John Paul; her mother, Gertie Moore; and several aunts and uncles.
Special thanks to the palliative care staff and doctors in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, for their excellent compassion and care. It is very much appreciated. Also a special thanks to LaVerne’s longtime friends, Mike, Catherine, Shawnett, and the rest know who you are.
