Stewart, Bessie Mae – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bessie Mae Stewart, age 84 of Truro. She passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Dean, she was a daughter of the late Dave and Catherine Watson.
Bessie is survived by brothers, Charlie (Alaine) Watson, Wayne (Bonnie) Watson; sisters, Faye Fraser, Judy Jardine, Janie Daily, Donna Hawes, Debbie (Ken) Cox; very special friends, Juanita Hamilton and family; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Eastman and her brother, Robert.
She was known for her love of Pepsi, stray cats and feeding the deer.
Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held at a later date.
