Adams, Kristen Elisabeth – Age 36, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 13, 2026, having her life cut short due to Huntington’s Disease. She is now in the arms of her father, Paul Adams; brother, Jonathan and grandparents, Ulrich and Karola Hudoffsky who predeceased her. She is now surrounded by peace and love.
Kristen is survived by her mother, Helika (Hudoffsky); brother, Christoffer; great-aunt, Liselotte, Hamburg, Germany; uncle, Eckhart Schroeter (Donna); cousins, Signy Schroeter-Kline (Jeff), Markus Schroeter, Stefan Schroeter (Tanis); and second cousins, Dexter, Gabi, Liam, Finley, Wolff and Magnus.
Kristen will be missed not only by her family but her wonderful friends who were so supportive over the past two years. Bella, her chocolate lab, will miss her and the wonderful belly rubs she received from Kristen.
Kristen loved sports throughout her school years. She played summer house soccer to the end of her preteens. However, her greatest love was hockey since the age of 5. She played rep hockey with the boys in Brookfield and later moved to play female hockey in Truro. She played spring hockey with NS Fury for 8 years and was asked to join the NB girl’s hockey spring team for tournaments in Quebec. She had the honour to play in a Christmas tournament in Connecticut one year. Hockey was her life until she graduated from high school.
After graduating, she attended Mount Allison University for two years. After her second year, she found a job outside London, England for the summer except she stayed for a whole year. From there she worked and lived in New Zealand for one year and Australia for a year. There were many adventures in New Zealand. These were the best times of her life. She then attended Eton College in Vancouver taking a Hospitality and Tourism course. With this completed, she was back to London working at a hotel for one year. Then she came back to Nova Scotia and worked at different hotels.
She loved adventure and travel, managing to visit 32 countries in her lifetime. Travel made her strong and resilient. She was a strong lady who had a wonderful smile, who always had a brave and fun-loving spirit. She lived with good moral standings and a quick wit. She loved to banter with others around her. She loved dogs and dogs were attracted to her, even strays during her travels. She absolutely adored the Christmas season, always the first to arise on Christmas morning with Christmas preps beginning even earlier in her adult life.
She finally found love but unfortunately this was taken away from her due to Huntington’s Disease. Huntington’s Disease restricted everything she loved in her life especially the last two years.

There is no official funeral service. There will be a private family committal. On Friday, September 18, 2026 family and friends are welcome to the family home from 3-5 p.m. for an informal pop-in gathering. The family would love friends to share some memories of Kristen – good or bad!
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jumpstart which gives the gift of play for kids in need, a chance to play a sport.
