Judith "Judy" Marie (Hodder) Gould

Gould, Judith “Judy” Marie (Hodder) – It is with profound sadness that the family of Judith “Judy” Marie (Hodder) Gould, age 69, of Jeddore, announces her passing on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Judy was born to David Hodder of Woodside and Joy (Oickle) Hodder of Jeddore. Judy dedicated over 20 years working for Access Nova Scotia until her retirement.

Judy was a gentle, kind and generous soul who had a special way of making everyone around her feel important and genuinely cared for. She always thought of others needs before her own and put her family above all else. Her adored grandchildren were the absolute light of her life. She loved colourful bright clothing, beautiful trinkets, crafts, playing crib, family trips and gatherings, and spending her time with those who meant the most to her. Judy was a spiritual person who felt a deep connection to angels, and so, she gave many pocket angels to her family and friends to help protect and watch over them throughout the years. She was the most beautiful person inside and out, truly an earth angel, and was immeasurably loved by so many. There are no words that could fully express the magnitude of loss felt by all who knew and loved her.

Judy was predeceased by her mother, Joy (Oickle) Hodder; father, David Hodder; father-in-law, James “Pepe” Gould; mother-in-law, Viola “Meme” (Williams) Gould: and her brother, Daniel Hodder. She is survived by her brother, Barry Hodder (Melda); sister, Donna Hodder; son, Shane Gould (Merrilee); daughter, Amanda (Amy) Gould; and her former husband, Anthony “Tony” Gould. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren, Nellie Gould, Josie Gould, Edward “Teddy” Gould and Joshua Crawford; niece, Katie Myers (Micheal); nephew, Jacob Myers (Kelsey); great-nephew, Andy; and great-nieces, Joy Hughes and Charlotte Myers.

Funeral service details will be announced at a later date.

As Judy always held helping others in high regard, donations may be made to a local food bank in lieu of flowers.
