Morash, Erminie “Erm” Edith (Logan) – Erm Morash, age 98, passed away on September 20, 2026 in Truro, NS. Born in Caribou Gold Mines, NS, 1 of 14 Logan children, Erm’s life was a testament to love and laughter.
Erm was many things to many people - wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, volunteer and friend. After leaving Caribou, Erm graduated from nursing school and married a fellow graduate, Scott Morash Sr. Erm worked for many years as a nurse and nursing supervisor at Victoria General Hospital and Nova Scotia Hospital. Erm was happiest when she was at her beloved “River Cottage”. There she could wander, swim, garden, watch the turtles and teach her grandchildren to fish. Erm enjoyed her outdoor adventures. She would cross country ski with a friend or sister often stopping along the trail to make a fire and brew a cup of tea. Erm was also an active member of the Elmsdale Baptist Church. Erm was successful in her battle with several cancers, so it was fitting that she was a long-time volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Erm is survived by her sons, Robert (Susan), Scott (Nichola), Terry (Mary Pat) and Brad (Caroline); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Dawn Archibald; and brother, Clarence.
She was predeceased by her husband, Scott; her parents, George and Nellie Logan and 11 of her siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 3, 2026, in Elmsdale Baptist Church, 510 Hwy 2, Elmsdale with refreshments to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
Cremation has taken place and interment of ashes will take place with a private ceremony in Chester, NS.
