Butler (Brown), Audrey P. – Age 83. Audrey passed away peacefully on Monday evening, July 24, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born in Brookvale, she was a daughter of the late Leland and Hazel Brown.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob”; sons, Dave “Howdy” Brown (Shirley), Michael Butler (Betty); daughters, Cheryl Butler, Joanne Pierce (Norm), Valerie Butler (Scott), Heather Froude (John); eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Vernon; sister, Freda.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., and a celebration of Audrey’s life will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., both in Gays River United Church. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Antrim, Musquodoboit Valley Health Foundation – Braeside, or a charity of choice.
Audrey’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Musquodoboit Valley Hospital and Braeside Nursing Home, where she resided for the past three-plus years, for the special care given to her. Also a special note of appreciation to the nurses, doctors and staff of Dartmouth General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care given to Audrey and her family during her brief stay in palliative care, where her journey in life ended.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
