Penny, Laura Irene – age 82 of Stewiacke, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025 with family by her side.
Born in 1943 at Bay Head, she was a daughter of the late James and Freda Johnson.
Laura worked at Scott Paper for many years. She was a proud member of Crown Jewels, had a great love for quilting and was a faithful member of the Baptist Church. Laura will always be remembered as a compassionate, kind and generous lady who always put others ahead of herself.
She will be greatly missed by her sister, June (Ivan) Sutherland; sons, Greg (Sherry), North River; Jim (Nancy), Enfield; granddaughters, Tatum, Kaylee and Annie.
She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend of 54 years, Glen.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held on July 19, at 11:00 a.m., in Lifepoint Church, Stewiacke.
