Langille, Roy William – Age 97, of Central Onslow, passed away June 8, 2025 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Lake Egmont, he was a son of the late Earle and Florence (Murphy) Langille.
Roy was a federal government employee working for over 30 years as a dairy product inspector. Following his retirement, he and Reta spent many winters in Florida and many wonderful summers at Shaws Lake.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter spending many hunting seasons at the camp right up to this past fall.
Roy will always be loved and missed by sons, Dwayne (Rosanne), Douglas (Janet), Darren (Penny); grandchildren, Kyra (Tyson), Brodie (Brittany), Paul (Chantel), Keith (Christa), Darianna (Ray), Halen; great-grandchildren, Nash, Silver, Ellie, Nova, Leva; siblings, Jessie, Donnie (Helen) and Donna (John).
He was predeceased by his wife, Reta (Putnam); sisters, Edith (Jim) and Eunice (Ray).
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Special thanks to Christa Driscoll for her wonderful care allowing our Dad to stay in his own home for the past 2 ½ months.
