Stevens, Mark Alvin – Mark Alvin Stevens of Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia passed away suddenly at home with his wife on September 20th, 2026 at the age of 67.
Mark was born in Dartmouth, to the late Alvin Charles Stevens and Myretta Faye (Marks) Stevens. Mark was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cindi (Young); children, Donny and Bridget Stevens; grandson, Ross Stevens; sister, Doreen (Stevens) Sanford; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends.
Mark was a hard worker who recently retired from his nearly 50-year career as an electrician with K&B Electrical. He could often be found in his garage surrounded by his motorcycles and his classic car, which was originally owned by his late father and that he rebuilt with great love and care. He loved to stay busy tinkering on whatever project had his attention, often joined by his many good friends who knew him as Hog or Hoggie. He loved touring the roads, taking road trips on his motorcycle with his biker buddies. When not in his garage or on an adventure, he loved spending time with family. Known by his beloved grandson as “Pup”, the two spent many days having fun together.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Mark’s life on Sunday, October 25th in Ship Harbour Community Hall from 2-5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation.
Mark was a kind and giving person who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
