Mosher, Dorothy May

Mosher, Dorothy May – Age 82, East Lawrencetown and formerly of Upper Musquodoboit. It is with great sadness that we announce Dorothy’s passing on December 18, 2014, in Bissett Court, Cole Harbour. Born in Caribou Gold Mines, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Ellen “Nellie” (Worrell) Logan.

Dorothy graduated from the Halifax Infirmary and had a nursing career at Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital, with VON, and worked in the local doctor’s office. She also worked for Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia and operated her own dress shop for a number of years in her active retirement. Dorothy enjoyed golfing, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family, extended family and many friends.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of Roy Mosher; mother of Derek (Janet), Kathy (Peter), and Paul; grandmother of Deanna, Tristan, Bereket, Jeffrey, Tyler and Krista; sister of Erminie Morash, Dawn (Lester) Archibald, Meta McCarthy, John (Faye) Logan and Clarence (Kaye) Logan. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Louise Logan; brothers-in-law, Reagh Canning, Russell Woodin, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Laura, Shirley, Ruby; brothers, Lewis, Gerald, Burnham, Fred, and a brother in infancy.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, Rev. Michael Henderson officiating. The family will meet friends for a reception downstairs in the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
