Leck, Evangeline – Age 73 of Stewiacke passed away July 7, 2023 in Elk Court, Brookfield.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late George and Mabel (Clarke) Spencer.
Vangie enjoyed her many trips to New Waterford and spending time at the camp in Iona. She enjoyed going to the dances at the hall and the Legion in Stewiacke. Vangie had many wonderful trips to Winnipeg and Ontario visiting family. Neighbours Barb and Sandra spent many hours together with Vangie and their comradery ended up with surprises sometimes!
She will always be loved and missed by husband, Ralph; daughter, Michele (Dennis); son, Jamie (Paula); daughter-in-law, Amberlie; sisters, Rhoda and Jean. She had many happy hours with her granddaughters, Kristen, Julia and Claudia and grandson, Hayden. She will be sadly missed by her pride and joy, Molly the puppy.
She was predeceased by son, Douglas; brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Edward, Raymond and Freeman; sisters, Melissa and Lena.
Special mention to her dear friend, Mary White for all the cards and our neighbours, Marc and Pheobe for the many treats every week. Many thanks to the staff of Braeside and Elk Court for the wonderful care given to Vangie.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery, East Stewiacke.
