Cox, Victor Allan – Age 79, of Dartmouth and formerly of Otterbrook, passed away May 18, 2025 in Glasgow Hall, Dartmouth.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Sidney and Jean (Blaikie) Cox.
Victor grew up in Otterbrook and after graduating from high school, he went to Halifax where he earned his degree in accounting. He worked first as a self-employed bookkeeper and later as an auditor in Halifax for several firms before going to Ontario where he worked in Waterloo. From there he moved to Kitchener and then to British Columbia before moving back to Nova Scotia and settling in Dartmouth. He was a financial advisor for Club 24 in Dartmouth. Victor was a soft-spoken, quiet, kind and caring man. He loved music, especially popular music, reading mystery books, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and he loved horses.
Surviving are siblings, Shirley (Gilbert) White, Bruce (Linda), Ian (Susan), Velda (Victor) Lewicki; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Berna, Helen and Maxine in infancy.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke at 2 p.m. on May 27.
Memorial donations may be made to Club 24 or a charity of choice.
