Kenneth Philip Langille

Langille, Kenneth Philip – Age 74, of Hilden, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in QEII Infirmary Site, Halifax, on July 12, 2025.

Born and raised in Wallace Ridge, he was a son of Simpson and Muriel (Smith) Langille. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Ken is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pattie”; children, Jeff (Margaret), Kenda (Joey); their mother, Lavenia Langille; son, Dana (Joanne); his mother, Nancy Sullivan; grandchildren, Cody, Jacob, Jamie, Brooklyn, Raielee; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his fur babies, Zoey and Tigger.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Hughie, James, Charles, Raymond, Gordon, Chester, Roy in infancy; sisters, Julie Ann, Eileen and Mae.

Ken enjoyed spending time at his camp, hunting, snowmobiling, long drives, bluegrass music, bike rides on the mountain and a cold beer. He worked in the woods, a few years at Bill Grace’s Irving in Bible Hill, and then on to Taylors Transport which later became Thompsons Transport, where he drove the Hostess Munchie chip truck.

Ken will be greatly missed by many friends and family. We would like to thank the ICU teams in Truro and Halifax and special friends, Rick and Darlene Pye.

Cremation has taken place.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
