Alice Celeste Bond

Bond, Alice Celeste - passed away on July 7th, 2025 in the loving and compassionate care of Serenity Lodge, Enfield, at the age of 106. Born in Poplar Grove, Hants County  she was a daughter of Mac and Lillian (Etter) Shaw.
She is survived by her son, Charles Bond (Ardis); daughters, Avora Babcock (Earle), Karen MacDonald (Tom), Anita Taylor (Stephen), Eleanor Smith, Shelley West; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; daughter, Celeste; son, Kirby; sister, Helen Sanford; brothers, Robert, Maynard, Norman, and Barney; three granddaughters and three sons-in-law.
Alice enjoyed life to the fullest with her adventurous spirit. A graduate of Provincial Normal College, her first teaching job was in Rawdon Gold Mines where she met her husband, Art. Alice was always an active part of her community and church. She enjoyed endless activities and was always up for an adventure. Alice's wonderful sense of humor was cherished by all who knew her and her passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends.

Cremation has taken place.

A service will be held in St. Paul's Anglican Church, Centre Rawdon on July 10th at 11 a.m.
In Alice's memory, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Canadian Cancer Society.
