Hill, Betty – Age 88, of Shubenacadie, died December 12, 2014, at home. Born in Erindale, Ont., she was the eldest daughter of Delmar and Marjorie Barker. What does one say about their mom? She had a green thumb, her baking was yummy, and she loved to bowl. She was raised Anglican but attended Shubenacadie United with her daughter.
Betty is survived by her children, Paul (Barb), Cathy (Al Flemming); Brian; youngest sister, Mary; her favourite niece, Linda; grandchildren, Sandra, Kelly, Kim, Mike and Mark; great-grandchildren, Janisha, Jayden, Logan, and twins Adam and Christian. She was predeceased by her husband, George; sisters, Grace and Ruth.
Betty has been cremated under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A graveside service is planned for a future date in Preeper Hill Cemetery, Shubenacadie.
